pottery earnings

If you missed this about how much a potter actually makes per hour...it was on Musings about Mud yesterday...
and written for Ceramics Monthly
and posted on Ceramic Arts Daily

Just FYI, and I loved pouring over the way she organized her project to come up with hourly earnings per venue, retail or wholesale.  Excellent food for thought.

Since I'm still in the vague creative and maybe sell phase of my "art business", I found this inspiring.

  1. I read that same article. She did a fantastic job tracking her time, costs, labor.

  2. Sorry not to have acknowledged recent comments. Blogger has had some issues apparently, finally letting me know a while ago that all these comments had been made. I'll try to post all my answers here, though, so you don't have to go back through all the different blogs. Next...

  3. Shoe sounds like a lovely name, and a lovely friend. I've never had a dog for a friend, just cats (and a few people). ALl the comments I've just posted are out there waiting to land...sometime, somewhere.
